Abstract

Background of Study: Generation Alpha, born between 2010 and 2025, is growing up in an era of rapid technological advancement, influencing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. The shift to a digital world requires a reassessment of educational strategies to meet the unique needs of this generation.

Aims and Scope of Paper: This study aims to explore the educational challenges and strategies for Generation Alpha, particularly in adapting traditional teaching methods to align with their digital immersion. It also focuses on identifying key factors influencing their development, such as screen time regulation, emotional support, and parental involvement.

Methods:  A qualitative approach was used, gathering data through surveys and interviews with parents, educators, and experts on Generation Alpha. A systematic literature review was conducted to complement primary data collection.

Results: Findings revealed that Generation Alpha requires personalized, adaptive educational strategies. The necessity of regulating screen time, fostering emotional and cognitive growth, and developing 21st-century competencies like digital literacy was emphasized. However, challenges such as rule-following issues, social-emotional development delays, and communication gaps between home and school were highlighted. Additionally, misalignment between parental values and educational objectives posed significant barriers to effective education.

Conclusion: This study underscores the need for educational strategies that integrate technology with emotional and character development. It highlights the importance of cultural relevance, strong parent-school partnerships, and the reimagining of educational success in preparing Generation Alpha for the future. Effective education requires contextualized, collaborative approaches to support the holistic development of this generation.
